Darebin Arts Speakeasy's 2026 Presentation Applications
Applications are now open to present performance-based works at Darebin Arts Centre or Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre in partnership with Darebin Arts Speakeasy.
Available spaces at Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre include the Main Hall and Studio One and Darebin Arts Centre’s Theatre.
The Presentation program looks for a broad mix of artistic disciplines - circus, music, dance, theatre, live art and participatory work, among others - that are viable in their development and presentation and can demonstrate an empathy with our Programming Priorities, which include original, and compelling contributions to a cultural conversation; First Nations-led work; addressing the Climate Emergency and access for all.
Works are selected by application for their creative merit, viability for presentation, and their potential impact on both audiences and art form, as well as impact on the broader Darebin community.
We value work that can demonstrate an empathy with our Programming Priorities, which include:
- Original and compelling contributions to a cultural conversation
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led work
- Addressing the climate emergency
- Access for all
All artists and companies are encouraged to apply. You do not have to be a Darebin resident.
Read our Guidelines(PDF, 846KB) for more information about the application process.
An online information session will be held online on Tuesday 3 June 2025 and an in-person info session will be held on Tuesday 17 June 2025. If you would like to attend either session, please RSVP here or email april.erskine@darebin.vic.gov.au.
