Spaces at DAC

DAC has a range of flexible spaces available for your next event, including professional live performances and meeting rooms for conferences.

Darebin Arts Centre welcomes all communities to our venue, and our dedicated team of staff regularly participate in training in order to provide a level of customer service that is inclusive and respectful of First Nations peoples, people who identify as LGBTQIA+, people who identify as gender diverse, CALD communities and people who identify as living with access needs. In September 2023 Darebin Arts Centre was proud to host Flow Deaf Arts Festival.

The venue is home to two stand-out local Licensee organisations:

Alex Makes Meals food charity business, who have now cooked 700,000 meals in DAC's commerical kitchen since its inception in March 2020.

Speak Percussion are a locally-based, internationally reknowned, live music performance organisation, who also provide training and mentorship programs for locally based musicians.

Please visit the Who's here? page of our website for more details.

Darebin Arts Centre is a Child Safe Organisation. Our staff undergo training in this important area regularly and all staff require a current Working With Children Check card for continuing employment with Council. Please refer to Council's Child Safe Policy here.

We have a welcoming foyer and have made improvements to universal access. Our bar now offers cocktails and has recently introduced tap wines, which are delicious and will provide significant reductions in our recycling waste. Our bar also offers barista coffee, freshly made popcorn from our popcorn machine, snacks, and beverages from local Darebin suppliers. During the cooler months of 2024 we will also be offering mulled wine to warm the cockles!

To assist with any event-related enquiries, we have recently updated our Presenter Handbook, to assist you navigate the Event Process with Darebin Arts Centre's friendly team:
