Is there a cost to enter the gallery?
Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is free to visit! All are welcome. Occasionally we have paid workshops and events but our exhibitions are always free to visit. We also have an onsite café and beautiful gardens to explore.
I have access requirements, is Bundoora Homestead an accessible building?
- Bundoora Homestead Art Centre has a lift to access the first floor, and accessible bathrooms.
- Please note: some pathways outside the building have gravel.
- Do not hesitate to get in touch with us prior to your visit and we can provide specific information about our amenities.
- We have a virtual tour of the building available that helps prepare you for your visit.

Can I make a reservation for the Café?
Yes, you can! Please call 03 9496 1060 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org to make a booking.
We’d like to bring a large group to the Café, is that possible?
Due to our limited capacity, we recommend booking for larger groups. For groups of 6 or more please contact us directly for more information.
Can I take photographs?
You’re more than welcome to take photographs on site and of the works, however, for the safety of the artworks we ask that you keep the flash switched off. Unfortunately, commercial professional photography and recording is not permitted.
Will there be more drawing classes throughout the year?
We love our drawing classes! Visit the What’s On Events Calendar for upcoming workshops, or sign up to our newsletter or social media for announcements.
What are the dates of upcoming history tours and how do I book?
We are so pleased to hear you’d like to join us for a history tour!
Our history tours run approximately once a month. Visit the What’s On Events Calendar for upcoming workshops, or sign up to our newsletter or social media for announcements.
We also have wonderful resources on site for you to learn more about the history of Bundoora Homestead. Our friendly team members are always available to answer your questions and help you.
I would like to host a private event at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre, how can I do that?
Unfortunately, Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is not available for private events.
I would like to exhibit with Bundoora Homestead Art Centre, how can I apply?
We are so glad you are thinking of us for your exhibition. We generally have a call for exhibition proposals every 12-18 months. These proposals are assessed by our Advisory Panel.
You can also apply to participate in our biennial art prizes which occur on alternate years:
• The A1 Darebin Art Salon – a community art prize and exhibition for artists who live, work or study in Darebin
• The Darebin Art Prize – a national $10,000 acquisitive art prize and exhibition

Do you have to live in Darebin to have an exhibition?
You do not have to live in Darebin to exhibit with Bundoora Homestead Art Centre. Artists from across Australia can apply to exhibit with us. The Darebin Art Prize is open to artists across Australia. Sign up to our email newsletter to be notified when calls for exhibitions or other opportunities to present your work are announced.
Will someone buy my work?
We are not a commercial gallery, and as such do not handle sales of artworks on display.
