Who's here
We partner with local organisations to deliver innovative and inclusive arts opportunities for our communities.
Nimbus
Nimbus is an inclusive visual arts studio run by Arts Access Victoria. At Nimbus, artists develop their artistic skills in visual arts and expand their portfolio. Artists explore their individual arts practice within a group.
Each week during terms, the studio gathers in Bundoora Homestead Art Centre’s dedicated workshop space, The Mess, as well as Arts Access Victoria’s mobile and accessible art workshop, Nebula. Besides practical studio work, artists have access to gallery exhibitions and professional development opportunities. These vary from writing artist statements to preparing artworks for exhibition. Nimbus has recently presented in-person and online exhibitions, including:
- Nimbostratus, 2023, presented at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre (30 Sep 23 - 16 Dec 23).
- Spill, 2022, presented at SEVENTH Gallery.
- Ether 2021, presented in partnership with the City of Darebin. You can view the exhibition online via our showcase.
- Either 2020, presented at Fringe Festival 2020 and online via our website.
Past and present Nimbus artists have been presented works at Thrive festival, as part of The Museum of Us and much more.
