Presented by Darebin Arts and Live Music Australia - an Australian Government Initiative

Oscar-nominated and BAFTA-winning composer and pianist David Hirschfeld, along with world-leading contemporary Guzheng (ancient Chinese harp) artist Mindy Meng Wang, come together in this new collaboration. David and Mindy's compositions for this performance are inspired by the profound emotions hidden within a selection of ancient Chinese and classic English poems which touch their hearts.

David has stepped away from the live scene for a long time to focus on composition. However, playing with Mindy rekindled his passion to share music with a live audience. Together, they create music of extraordinary beauty. It flows naturally, mirroring their thoughts—intense as a storm yet gentle as a flower petal falling in the spring wind. Through their performance, they tell stories of their minds and hearts, engaging in a vulnerable conversation with the audience that takes you on a journey of memories and deep feelings.

Join us for this not to be missed opportunity to see these artists perform together for the very first time.
