Process Blue, Nature Trips, Corduroy, Pine Shelving

‘Kingsbury’ in the 1970s embraced both an insular and experimental culture; taking form in encounter sessions, consciousness raising, group discussions, readings 'out-loud' and performance.

The exhibition ‘Process blue, nature trips, corduroy, pine shelving’ brings digital photography, film and found imagery, including film stills, magazines and books from an array of mined sources. The work suggests a series of fabricated scenarios, depicting trans historical meetings, associations and plausible narratives about people and spaces that once occupied ‘Kingsbury’. The interior of this half - way house, and alternative school once adjacent, to the now demolished Mont Park Hospital forms the backdrop.
