Presented by Darebin FUSE Festival

Street Sessions are a chance for the public to stumble upon lo-fi, acoustic music performances from local artists at community venues in Darebin. These performances fill the quieter open spaces in the community with vibrant, musical sounds. We invite you to stumble upon these performances as you pass through, and join us for a moment of shared connection through music.

The sessions are FREE to attend, family-friendly, relaxed, and open to all. Come and go as you wish!

THE PROGRAM

Sunday 6 September, 1pm - 3pm at Northcote Library
Northcote Food Library 15th Birthday with Elvira e Filippo

Join us to celebrate Northcote Library Food Garden’s 15th Birthday with Elvira e Filippo and free facepainting with Fairy Lulu!

Darebin locals Elvira e Filippo are an Italian music duo playing traditional and modern Italian Folk Music and other favourites. Filippo is a singer and a masterful player of the fisarmonica (accordion), performing alongside Italian-Australian folk music singer Elvira Andreoli. Together, Elvira e Filippo will transport you with the many songs and dances of Italy with an afternoon of musical fun for all the family!

The performance will take place as part of a celebration of 15 years of the Northcote Library Food Garden, which will concurrently host a Spring garden working bee. Gardening, music, food and fun - what more could you want on a Sunday afternoon!

Sunday 6 September, 1.30pm - 2.15pm at Reservoir Library
Clover Blue

Clover Blue is a First Nations artist with music leaning on the poetics of hopeful melancholy, led by introspective lyricism and lively instrumentation. Recalling the lineages of Leonard Cohen, Elliott Smith and Angel Olsen, Clover presents intricate and introspective songs in the self-coined genre of harrow-folk.

Friday 11 September, 6pm - 9pm at Station Street, Fairfield
Sage Marie

Sage Marie delivers a distinctive indie pop folk performance as a solo singer-songwriter. Her enchanting voice pairs beautifully with the ukulele, captivating audiences and leaving them eager for more.
