Applications are now open for the 2027 Darebin Arts Speakeasy Companies in Residence Program at Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre. 

This unique residency invites established independent performing arts companies to make Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre their creative home for an extended period. Rather than focusing on delivering a new production, we encourage companies to use this residency as a time to consolidate their practice, reflect on their role within the sector and community, and invest in their long-term sustainability.
 
Alongside their residency, participating companies will commit to:
  • Deliver free Open Practice Sessions for artists outside of your company to learn, connect and exchange ideas
  • Curate and host two Scratch Nights

All independent companies are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be based in Melbourne, though their collaborators may be based elsewhere. Applicants do not have to be a Darebin resident but you will need to articulate how the value of your residency will impact the Darebin Community.
