Zaman Festival is a vibrant cultural celebration showcasing the music of the Eastern Mediterranean and its diasporas. This unique event brings together artists and communities from various backgrounds, alongside contemporary Australian musicians inspired by these rich cultural traditions. Featuring Melbourne's own Kazaband, Mana Duet in collaboration with Farnaz Shahimi, and Kismet Project.
Curated by Con Kalamaras, the festival presents an immersive journey through traditional and contemporary musical expression. Audiences will experience live performances and storytelling that explore the region's musical roots, featuring Levantine ensembles and cross-cultural collaborations. Zaman Festival celebrates contemporary interpretations and innovative fusion works shaped by migration, cultural exchange and shared histories.
