David Chesworth performs 50 Synthesizer Greats

Originally self-released in 1979, David Chesworth's 50 Synthesizer Greats remains one of the foundational recordings of Australian electronic music. Before his time with Essendon Airport, the Clifton Hill Community Music Centre and the Midnite Spares-featured Whadya Want?, these 37 miniature compositions of wit, tension and melodic invention were recorded in his parents' lounge room using a monophonic Mini Korg 700 synthesiser and reel-to-reel tape recorder.

On Thursday 10 September, Efficient Space presents David Chesworth performing the album in its entirety across two sessions at High Note (6:30pm and 8:30pm). With capacity limited to just 40 people per session, encounter one of the continent's defining electronic works in close quarters with its creator.

Suitable for ages 18+. Bookings are essential as capacity is strictly limited.
