Spring School Holiday Program

Next date: Wednesday, 01 October 2025 | 11:30 AM to 01:00 PM

Get creative and let your wild side out to play in a monster mask making session; personalise a family photo or self portrait with collage, paint and embroidery thread; learn to make simple flowers, pom poms and tassels from coloured paper before creating a gorgeous paper chandelier to take home.

Facilitated by our Education and Public Programs Officer, Stephanie Hicks, these sessions offer children an opportunity to discover and explore art materials, processes and ideas in a playful, relaxed and supportive environment.

All materials provided.

The recommended age for kids attending our School Holiday Program is between 5-12 years old. A parent or carer must stay and supervise during the sessions.

About The Facilitator

Stephanie is a visual artist working primarily across drawing, sculpture and textiles. Stephanie is passionate about fostering positive creative and social outcomes within the community. She brings extensive experience in working with children, young people and families from roles in primary schools, libraries, galleries and community spaces, and from alongside her art practice.

Join us in the Café!

Our Café is open, offering a variety of light refreshments including pastries, soup, scones, cakes and coffee. It is open from 11am-3pm and the perfect place to grab a bite before or after your class.

Other information:

Embellished photo portraits (Wednesday 1 October) makes use of personal photographs which we can print for you on the day. They could be of you, your family or your pet! You are also welcome to bring images from home which you would like to use for your portrait. We will provide a selection of stock images to use if you prefer.

Children are welcome to stay on after class and continue their own craft projects. While you’re here, feel free to explore the Bundoora Homestead exhibitions, gardens and cafe.

Please note for a refund of ticket to be considered we require at a minimum 48 hours notice.

No refunds (partial or full) are available for season tickets, all sales are final.

Please note: general photography and short videos (for social media) may be recorded at this event for promotional use only and to document this event internally. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let a member of staff know once you arrive.
