Our Songs: Christmas Songs at the Lake

Darebin City Brass is a community-based group of approximately 100 musicians whose purpose is "To give Brass and Percussion musicians an organisation that welcomes all backgrounds and levels of musical ability, with ensembles endeavouring to perform to their best and serve the community of Darebin through the gift of music."

The three brass bands of Darebin City Brass (Preston Band, Northern Brass and Youth Training Band) cater for all ability levels, from beginner, to developing player,s to the upper echelon of banding in Australia.

ARCappella and ARC Children's & Youth Choir are the choirs of Amatuer Repertory Company (ARC) a community arts organisation based in Preston. Each year they form the ARC Christmas Choir spreading joy by performing carols at a range of community events.

ARCappella, an adult community choir, celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2025.  ARCappella sings a broad range of music including pop,  classical, musicals both a cappella and accompanied. ARC Children's & Youth Choir celebrates its 10th Anniversary in 2025 and was established as a formal training choir in the Northern Suburbs for children and young people aged 7 to 21 years rehearsing in Preston every Wednesday afternoon during school terms. 

ARC Choirs are non-auditioned and welcome new members throughout the year.
