Archimedes War by Melissa Reeves

A man with short dark hair and a beard, wearing an army thsirt and dog tags around his neck stands behind a man with dark hair pulled back into a bun. A transparent image of fighter jets and a soldier running in action overlays the image.

Presented by Darebin Arts Speakeasy

Fifteen-year-old Arki can’t shake the dead bodies of the players he’s killed in his online combat games. His mother takes him to a psychiatrist who thinks he has PTSD. In her quest to help her son, she turns to those involved in real world war afflictions.

Archimedes War is a dark comedy exploring the frightening depersonalisation of modern warfare, where waging war can look like a video game and playing video games has real-life consequences.
