This interactive comics workshop encourages participants to bring a problem (emotional, political, financial, romantic, culinary etc.) to the circle in the same way a querent asks a tarot deck for insight. We will explore sampling and interpretation of existing images, drawing the problem as a way to divine possible solutions and pulling from the language of dreams to create personal, essayistic and expansive comics.
While the workshop cannot guarantee to solve everyone’s problems, it is hoped that participants will leave with new tools to create and interpolate their comics narratives.
