Where do you dream of your work being performed? How would you like us to imagine it? Dream Run is focused on new performance works in progress. Short excerpts will be performed by Elbow Room’s crack team, or by guests of the artists themselves.
Featured artists include: Holland Brooks, Maroussia Vladi, Akira Taitoko, Jade Breen, Matias Nuñez, Keegan Bell, Narii Hamill Salmon, and Myf Powell.
Each will be prefaced by a description of the creator’s ideal situation for the premiere of this performance. There are no limits on this, in time or space or history.
This night is all about breaking the limitations of the merely practical, and unlocking the imaginative potential of performance.
Speakeasy Scratch Nights are a new monthly sharing platform for artists to test out new works-in-development on a live and generous audience of likeminded artists. This is an open access, inclusive, messy, supportive and celebratory space for artists to take risks and connect across the community.
The Speakeasy Scratch Nights are hosted and curated by our Companies in Residence and other guest artists, with different themes and curatorial approaches each time.
Come along to experience live performance experiments and be part of our community of practice, or follow us on Instagram to find out how to get involved.
This is a night of works in progress. The content may include coarse language and adult themes.
