Conversations with Councillors is a program to build stronger connections with the community by providing residents the opportunity to have face-to-face conversations with the Mayor and Councillors about local issues.

Join us on Saturday 1 August, when our Councillors will be on site at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre for a relaxed Conversations with Councillors session. These informal events are a great opportunity to connect directly with your local representatives and share what matters most in your neighbourhood.

Drop in for a chat, ask a question or share your ideas.

As a part of this event Bundoora Homestead Art Centre will be running a free guided history tour from 11:30am- 12:15pm. Following the tour, you are welcome to stay and wander through the gardens, explore the current art exhibition or enjoy a snack or drink at the café.

The Tour

Join us for a free guided history tour and learn about Bundoora Homestead Art Centre and the land on which it was built, Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung country. Hear the stories that shaped this iconic Queen Anne-style mansion, from its first era as a private family home and stables, to its rebirth as a repatriation mental health hospital for returned servicemen, and its final reimagining as a community art gallery.

Join us in the Café!

Take advantage of our Conversations with Councillors Café Special and enjoy our delicious freshly baked scones and a coffee for only $10! Our Café offers a variety of light refreshments including pastries, soup, scones, cakes and coffee. It is open from 11am-3pm and the perfect place to grab a bite.

Children's Activities

Bundoora Homestead Art Centre welcomes families, with regular children's events. We offer a drawing nook, family bookshelf and colouring sheets upon request in the café, which hosts a kid friendly menu that will be available during Conversations with Councillors.
